Another headwarmer

I made another headwarmer, this time in “fennel”. I’m absolutely in love with the color – Fennel – from the Berroco Vintage line.

I also made a dark brown one but I gave it away and forgot to take photos of it first.

In semi-related news, I learned how to purl stitch using the tunisian crochet method, so now I can make pretty ribbing! With this new nugget of knowledge, I am working on some fingerless mitts as last-minute xmas gifts. I’ve never had a use for sock yarn before because I’m generally too impatient to work with such thin yarn, but this is a nice small project that won’t take too long so my interest has been piqued.

I have way too many presents to finish before xmas: at least three pairs of mitts, a scarf, binding on a quilt, and a hot wheels car holder thing. It wouldn’t be so hard if I hadn’t already gotten myself neck-deep in a web development project that is taking up a lot of my time. Oh well…last year, I was up until 2am making presents on Christmas Eve; hopefully this year won’t be the same (but who am I kidding?).
