My first knitted thing (that actually resembles a thing).

I ACTUALLY KNITTED A THING! FINALLY! It only took hours and hours of frogging and re-swatching and frogging again and trying and trying and trying and pulling my hair out, but it’s finished.

It’s made from grey Lion Brand Wool Ease. The final product is so different from my crochet beanies; light, small, stretchy, springy.

It’s actually for my husband who requested a beanie for when he’s tromping around outside.

I followed a very easy design. The brim is K2,P2 for like 1.5″ and the rest is just a stockinette stitch, with decreases starting at about 7″.

I’m proud of myself for sticking it out and actually finishing the beanie. I was so frustrated that I couldn’t get the sizing right, even though I swatched up a sample before starting. I made sure to take good notes so that I won’t have to start over so many times the next time I use this yarn.
