I took these photos at the park across the street while Little Foot was making friends with other neighborhood kids. It’s so relaxing to be out in the sunshine and doing something I enjoy while making friends with other parents!

Here is one of the drafted patterns in action:

While I love buttons, I also really like the simplicity of a simple ribbed collar.

I used a long-tail cast on method, which makes the neck look so professional and pretty.

Stretchy ribbing makes me happy.

There’s just something so appealing about raglan sleeves, especially when they’re so tiny.

I’m in love with the color of this yarn – it’s Patons Worsted in “Emerald”.

When the sweater is finished it will have a small ribbing at the bottom and little sleeves with ribbing to matches the collar.

I think the photos turned out pretty well. Little Sister was a good sport and let me get quite a few photos in before she started fussing.

This is a baby sweater that I had originally started for Little Sister. The colors are a bit too masculine imo, so instead I think I will gift it to some friends who are expecting a little boy soon. It just  needs some sleeves and a few little buttons! I used this pattern on Ravelry.

I used Malabrigo Rios yarn in the Mariposa colorway. To say that I’m in love with this yarn is an understatement. I could probably use Malabrigo yarn for every single project in the future and never get tired of it.

It’s got blue, green, brown, and yellow hues in it and it’s so soft and smushy and I just want to rub  my face on it all day long. I absolutely love the little raglan-style sleeves.

This green sweater is the result of my first attempt at making a sweater using the Simple Summer Tweed Top Down V-Neck pattern. I kettle dyed some Fishermen’s Wool in hopes to achieve a dark turquoise color, but ended up with this leprechaun color instead. I even over-dyed the green with more blue but the green just wanted to stay put.

I stopped working on this sweater because it’s SO.ITCHY. It’s a deceiving yarn; it didn’t feel nearly so scratchy when I was knitting it up. But when I tried it on I could feel it through multiple layers of clothing – no bueno.

I got about 450 yards into the sweater and it stops a few inches above my belly button. At this point I’m not sure if I’ll continue working on it or not. I’ve read about how to make scratchy sweaters soft like butter, but I’m terrified of putting another 450 yards into it only to have it never be comfortable to wear.

This is sweater #2. Sorry for the poor photo. It’s made from Berroco Flicker and Rowan Lima – soooooooooooo soft! I’m using a pattern called Driftwood. I’m really happy with how well-written the pattern is; it makes the new adventure of creating apparel much less intimidating!
